University Taster Sessions
One of the great things about attending UniLife is that you'll get to try your hand at a real subject. We've got something for everyone; from taking part in a law investigation in our mock courtroom to looking at viruses in our Science Centre. And if you're not yet sure what you may like to study then why not try something you've not done before? You might find it sparks a whole new interest for you!
For 2018, we'll be offering tasters in:
Art and Design
Film and Media
Our social programme gives you the opportunity to take part in a number of activities to make the most of your time at Staffordshire University.
Team building exercises
You and other students will need to come together to complete a range of teambuilding tasks. We won’t tell you too much about them here, as that would spoil the fun!
You will have the opportunity to take part in informal sports sessions during your time here, whether it is a footie game with the ambassadors, a spot of basketball, or a friendly game of frisbee, our sports facilities are available throughout the event.
During our welcome evening event, there are plenty of things to do – whether it’s a spot of gaming on a Wii console or giant snakes and ladders, there is plenty to keep you occupied. And our ambassadors may have a few things planned that you’ve never heard of before!
You will also get the chance to relax or party with new friends in our student venues at the University. You’ll get to stay in halls of residence, where the heart of university life truly lies, and where you will be accompanied by our student ambassadors should you need anything.
Each day of UniLife really will be action-packed. Plus there’ll be loads to do in the evenings too… with games, activities, themed meals – and even a party at our Students’ Union venue!
Just see what we’ve got in store…
Our friendly student ambassadors will welcome you, show you to your accommodation and give you time to settle in. After a ‘get-to-know-you’ lunch, there’ll be fun, team-building activities.
You’ll be finding out more about the university campus and getting lots of tips and advice about completing your personal statement. There are plenty of social activities planned, so you will have an action packed day and evening!
This is a taster day when you’ll get to find out more about the subject you’ve shown an interest in and the skills you’ll need for career success. Depending on the subject, the day could involve workshops, lectures, group activities and more.
