British University Vietnam - Work Experience Programme

Through our collaborative academic partner, British University Vietnam (Hanoi, Vietnam) we are able to offer 6 to 12 week summer work experiences across a range of subject/employment sectors, including: - Business (Business Management, Event Management, Marketing, Logistics) - Games, Computing, Cyber Security - Hospitality & Tourism

A work experience abroad is an opportunity to move yourself out of your “comfort zone” and use your own initiative to grasp a new opportunity. By participating in an international work experience you have a unique chance to develop cultural awareness; improve your problem-solving skills; become more adaptable; show that you can take risks and use your own initiative.

Vacancies have now been  announced by British University Vietnam (BUV) for summer 2024.  Students will need to follow application guidance from BUV and should have available an application letter and Curriculum Vitae (Careers can support development of a letter and CV).  Students may need to participate in a virtual interview with the placement provider. 

Work experience may be paid or voluntary and is likely to be based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Costs

You will need to budget for:

  • Work-experience programme fee of approximately £150
  • Accommodation whilst in Vietnam (you can source your own or BUV can arrange this for £200 to £245 per week)
  • Vietnam Visa fee
  • Flights to/from Hanoi, Vietnam
  • Basic costs of living in Vietnam e.g. local transport, food and drink
  • Travel insurance to cover any unexpected medical expenses and/or loss of personal belongings
