Work experience and graduate destinations

Become the business professional you were meant to be. Choose to do up to a year in a paid work placement in the UK or abroad, and gain a global perspective with the opportunity to study overseas with our partner universities.

Throughout your course, you'll take part in live projects with local and national organisations to get real-world practice, and you'll attend inspirational guest lectures providing you with insights into industry. You'll have opportunity to connect with industry players before you graduate through careers fairs, networking events and exhibitions.

Brad Charlton-Wells, BrickLab Academy

Brad, who is currently studying BA (Hons) Visitor Attraction and Resort Management is also building his own creative business, BrickLab Academy, alongside his studies.

BrickLab Academy is a creative platform delivering hands-on LEGO® workshops, bespoke model design and community-led projects across the UK. The business combines creativity with strong operational planning, covering areas such as capacity management, staffing, pricing strategy, health and safety compliance, safeguarding and customer journey design.

Brad reflects on how his business has grown in parallel with his academic journey at the University of Staffordshire. He delivers workshops nationwide, collaborates with venues and community partners, and is developing opportunities for international expansion.
