Student Life (Advice) Team

The Student Life (Advice) Team provides support to students with inclusion needs,  information on University processes,   University Bursaries and Scholarships,   Student Support funds   and   visa or general enquiries.

Our specialist Advisors provide  1-2-1 information, advice, guidance for students on a variety of areas including:

• Inclusion support including providing assessments for specific learning difficulties (Diagnostic Assessments), guidance with Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) applications, coordination with the University accommodation team regarding disability related requirements, Student Inclusion plans (SIPS) and personalised one to one appointments with a specialist advisor where you can discuss your individual needs.  
• Information on Money Matters, from budgeting to applying for the Student Support Fund or other funds available for those struggling with financial concerns
• We have cost of living funds available for home, undergraduate students.  Click here for further information.
• Access to and the promotion of resources available via Blackbullion
• Advice and guidance on academic processes including Information, advice and guidance on Exceptional Circumstances, and Fitness to Study and Fitness to Practice processes.
• Immigration advice related to the Student Route and UKVI compliance

The Student Life (Advice) Team can be contacted via the University's Solve Portal.  Solve is the main way to reach  the team for support.  Please use the Solve Portal - https://solve.staffs.ac.uk/portal for any enquiries, including booking an appointment with the team.
