We have a variety of bursaries and scholarships available for undergraduate students at Staffordshire University. All bursaries and scholarships are subject to applications and eligibility.

Top tips for your application

  1. Proof read and spell check your application

    Be sure to read over your application and double check the grammar and spelling. Applications with poor spelling and grammar will not be considered. We recommend writing your application in a word processor first before pasting it into the application form.

  2. Highlight your ambitions and goals

    We want to hear about how this bursary will benefit both your short and long term goals; this bursary is meant to help support your time at University, to help towards trips, equipment or other items that take your degree to the next level, so tell us how you intend to use it.

  3. Explain why you chose your degree and what will studying at Staffordshire University do for you

    We want to hear from students with a passion for their subject, so tell us why you chose this course, and how being a Staffordshire University student will help you to reach your career goals, or make a difference in our community and beyond.

Undergraduate bursaries and scholarships

Eligibility for these bursaries are informed by your course, or your individual circumstances. There is no separate application that you need to complete, as with the other bursaries on this page. Instead, your course or student finance application will be used to ascertain your eligibility for this funding.

PhD scholarships

A wide range of PHD topics are currently available and are offered as either fully funded scholarships or self-funded opportunities. Scholarships are offered on a full-time, UK based, study basis only, and include:

  • A fee waiver equivalent to the home/international rate for up to 4 years
  • Tax-free stipend currently £17,668 per annum, for 3.5 years
