Manage your offer

How to check and reply to your offers on UCAS

  1. Track your application

The best way to track your applications to your chosen courses and universities is through the UCAS Hub. You can sign in to your Hub to check the progress of your applications at any time.

  2. Manage your offers

Once all your chosen universities have responded, confirm where you want to study on UCAS.

  3. Results day

If you have conditional offers, your place at university is confirmed or rejected based on your results. The UCAS hub updates automatically on results day.

  4. After results day

If you don't meet your conditions or have no offers, you can apply through Clearing to find available courses.

Types of offers

Universities and courses have different entry requirements. Our course directors and admissions teams evaluate your application and will provide you with one of the following:

Unconditional Offer

You meet all of the entry requirements required for your chosen course and are guaranteed a place. Congratulations!

Conditional Offer

To secure your place on the course, you will need to meet certain criteria such as achieving specific grades, attending a portfolio review or interview.

Alternative Offer

If we are unable to offer you a place on your chosen course, we may offer an alternative course based on your application. We may also offer an alternative after an interview or portfolio review if a particular course is full.

UCAS Extra

If you've received decisions from all five universities you applied to and you weren't accepted onto the course, or you declined the offers you received, then you may be able to apply again through UCAS Extra.

UCAS Extra is a free service available which allows some applicants to apply to one course at a time between 26 Feburary and 1 July 2026. If Extra is available to you, it'll be visible as an option within your UCAS Hub area. If you add a choice through Extra then you cannot revert back to your original choices.

Replying to your offers

Depending on how you have applied, there are two ways to respond to your offer, either through UCAS or direct to University of Staffordshire.

UCAS

Once you have received decisions from all of your chosen universities, UCAS will alert you that it is time to respond to your offers. You reply to your offers on the UCAS Hub and there will be a deadline which you'll need to reply by.

If you have received an unconditional offer from us, and accept as your firm choice, then congratulations - you're in!

Those holding conditional offers are advised to make two choices: 'Firm' and 'Insurance', the insurance choice university usually has lower entry criteria than the firm choice, so that if you do not meet the conditions of the offer for your firm choice, you may still meet those of your insurance and secure a place at university.

You'll then need to decline any other offers you have received.

Direct

If you have applied to us directly, then you will need to respond to your offer via our applicant portal, Beacon.
