With Staffordshire University, you will deal with modern world issues and the solutions offered up by contemporary digital marketing strategies. This postgraduate course will offer you the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the capabilities of modern internet banners, paid ads, SEO techniques and digital analytics, also, you’ll cover the rising importance of social media campaigning within organisations.
Inspired by the thinking of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) and Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM) we’ve designed a curriculum with a strong professional and practical ethos. Meaning we can focus on your employability and continued professional development.
On successful completion of study, you'll receive the following award: MSc Digital Marketing Management
You can study full-time over one year or part-time over three years. During part-time study each semesters teaching will be spread over a 12-month period.

The flexible nature of this course will allow you the opportunity to explore specific aspects of digital marketing. In your first semester you will study four modules based around an advanced knowledge of the foundations of digital marketing: Scanning the Digital Environment, Strategic Marketing Communications and Media Management, Global Digital Consumer Behaviour and Experience, and Management Control and Internal Audit.
After this you will tackle the content side of digital marketing and be given the knowledge to create a global digital marketing strategy. This will be taught in two modules: Content Curation and Development, and Global Strategic Digital Marketing Management. You will also take a Work Based Project Preparation module to set you up you for your final semester
There's more, you'll end your course with the Co-creation with Brand Communities and Masters Work Based Project modules. The project module will provide you with the opportunity to focus on an live issue that is relevant to your workplace or placement. This will culminate in you leaving with experience, as well as knowledge, to help forward your career.

Our teaching is supported through our Virtual Learning Environment called Blackboard. This means you can access a range of materials to support your lectures wherever you are.
We’ll also assign you a supervisor to support you throughout your research project.
There are two types of assessments: practice (also called formative) or formal (also called summative).
Practice assessments do not count towards your final mark. These are your chance to test your understanding – and learn how to improve for the real thing.
You’ll have formal assessments at the end of each module. These could include essays, exams, or portfolios.

If you have previously completed an undergraduate degree with us, you may be entitled to a discount off your course fee for any subsequent postgraduate taught course. For further information please contact Graduate Relations.
The expected study pattern on this programme enables you to complete modules totaling 60 credits in your first year of study and the other 120 credits, split equally over your second and third year of study. If you follow this pattern of study you will pay the same fee for each year of study. You will be invoiced for the modules that you register for each year, so if your study pattern is different from the expected pattern, you will pay more or less each year accordingly.

Providing you are studying towards a full Masters qualification you may be able to apply for a postgraduate loan of up to £10,609 to help with tuition fees, maintenance and other associated costs. Student loans are available for many of our postgraduate degrees and are provided by the Student Loans Company (SLC). The loan can cover a wide range of postgraduate study options - part-time, full-time and distance learning.
