Lisa Mcalister

Lisa has spent more than twenty years as a Senior Reporter, working across TV, Radio and Digital Platforms. Prior to joining Staffordshire University in 2020, she had been employed by the BBC since 2007. She leads our broadcast modules.

I am a Lecturer and Journalist, with a background as a Reporter/ Presenter in news and sport.

I first started in commercial radio while still at University. I then worked for ITN in both Belfast in London before moving to the BBC in 2007. During my career, I have covered a broad range of stories, from US Presidential visits, to Champions League Finals.

I have also presented Radio Programmes for both 5Live and BBC Radio Ulster.
