Lisa Tien

Work Based Education Officer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

Prior to starting my role as a Work Based Education Officer, my background has been in careers, I was a Careers Advisor for 17 years working in various education, training, and private sectors. I had the opportunity to lead and be involved with various careers and training projects where I offered careers guidance, worked and supported school leavers, adults and mature students on achieving academic, mental welfare and operational assignments.

Throughout my career progress, I have had the fortunate scope to develop and train in a range of skills and to also work collaboratively with different partnership agencies such schools, mental health charities, colleges, and training providers.

As a Work Based Education Officer for the Institute of Policing, I find great satisfaction in supporting students to achieve and overcome adversities while on the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship.
