That’s why in 2019, we have opened Staffordshire University London, an extension of the Staffordshire University campus in the creative hub of Here East, Stratford. We have brought together a bespoke Esports Arena and fully equipped Control Room, our pioneering undergraduate and postgraduate esports degrees, and our expert academics and put them together in the heart of the digital sector – giving you the best chance of succeeding in a competitive industry.
In our undergraduate esports degree, you will gain the experience and skills to kick-start your career. In the first year you’ll plan a single player event, explore the culture of competitive gaming, learn technical skills for broadcasting, and explore current issues within the esports sector. In year two this progresses to a team player event, creating and managing teams, video editing and content creation, and the integrity of esports. The third year the event will be a large scale, commercial venue event with team players and a prize fund, you will also explore digital marketing and analytics within esports.
You can continue your studies into the esports industry in our postgraduate master’s degree, readying yourself for a job in esports management. You’ll learn strategic level management skills, influencing policies and practices in the industry and developing a critical awareness of the sociological, political and legal landscape.
Whatever you choose to study, you’ll be working in a state-of-the-art environment. You will be taught in a dedicated Esports Lab and Pro Gamer training facility with all the latest industry standard software and hardware.
