Professor of Criminology James Treadwell is an ethnographic researcher and his work takes a immersive look at violent and serious and organised crime.  His academic journey has taken him from the dark back rooms of smoke-filled pubs and football hooligans, to cannabis cultivators, drug dealers and violent prisoners.  Discover how crime is impacted by socio-economic, political and cultural factors and what we should know about emerging and mutating types of crime.
