Staffordshire University are hosting a Pie and Pea supper with a difference next week – with higher education appearing top of the menu.

Taking place in the Pavilion Fusion Café in College Road, Stoke,  the event is aimed at providing parents with more information on costs and benefits of going to University and advice on the types of courses available including higher and degree apprenticeships.

Higher Horizons+ Hub Manager Helen Norman said: “We provide higher education outreach to targeted secondary schools and colleges throughout Staffordshire, and Cheshire and recognise that parents are an important part of the decision-making process.

“Over a light supper, we want parents to feel as informed as possible at a time when young people are choosing which open days to attend and what college, university courses and apprenticeships to apply for. Ultimately, we want them to feel empowered to help their children make the decisions that are right for them.”

The event is open to Parents, Carers and Guardians of pupils in Year 9 and upwards. For more information call 01782 292749.
