Smart Technologies can be embedded in every aspect of life, think about, Smart Building, Smart Hospitals, Smart Cities, Smart Agriculture or Smart Manufacturing etc, which have long been prophesied as science fiction scenarios, are now becoming a reality. The advent of smart systems means these scenarios are no longer hypothetical. ‘Smart’ is often also linked to the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The technological revolution in computation power has been a key enabler for AI applications with infinite opportunities in, literally, all domains. AI is expected to underpin almost all future technology developments in various domains and for various purposes. Particularly, AI is an integral part of any smart systems deployment, for enhanced automation and decision making. The increased adoption of smart systems and digital technologies present everlasting security challenges. We are becoming so dependent on technology that security breaches proved to have detrimental effects on individuals as well as organisations. At SSAICS, we address approach cybersecurity . SSAICS research centre offers a holistic approach, which revolves around its main research themes, to solve real world problems and support the digital transformation agenda.
