Apprenticeships in Health and Science

Health and science apprenticeships are structured training programs that integrate practical, hands-on experience with formal education to prepare individuals for careers in healthcare, medical research, laboratory sciences and related fields.

These apprenticeships are designed to equip participants with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to thrive in the health and science sectors.

Courses

Biomedical Scientist Degree Apprenticeship - Level 6

An apprentice who undertakes this programme will gain the knowledge and skills to apply for registration as a Biomedical Scientist whilst working in a pathology laboratory.

Midwife Degree Apprenticeship - Level 6

Individuals on this apprenticeship will develop and demonstrate the duties of a midwife to gain registration with the NMC.

Nursing Associate Apprenticeship - Level 5

The aim of this programme is to develop highly trained Nurse Associates who are work-ready and meet the NMC's standard for registration.

Operating Department Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship – Level 6

This programme is for individuals looking to qualify as a ODP supporting the care of patients before, during and after surgery.

Operating Department Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship – Level 6 (progression route)

This accelerated route is for individuals who already hold a level 5 healthcare qualification and are looking to qualify as a ODP supporting the care of patients before, during and after surgery.

Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship - Level 6

This apprenticeship will train apprentices to be competent and confident paramedics registered with the HCPC.

Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship - Level 6 (progression route)

This accelerated route is for individuals who already hold a level 4 AAP qualification and wish to train as a paramedic registered with the HCPC.

Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship – Level 6

This apprenticeship is aimed at individuals working in healthcare who are looking to become a qualified registered nurse with the NMC.

Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship – Level 6 (progression route)

This accelerated route is for individuals who already hold a level 5 healthcare qualification and are looking to become a qualified registered nurse with the NMC.
