This short volunteering experience is based at Cluj, Romania and involves supporting children and young people of Roma communities living in Cluj, through the delivery of educational workshops.
Volunteers will help build a better living environments for Romanian communities, as well as delivering youth work to children and young people. This programme aims to provide a transformative experience for young people from Roma communities, helping them to develop the skills and confidence necessary to make a positive impact in their own communities and beyond. Whilst part of this experience involves faith based work, the opportunity is open to all Staffordshire University students.
Through volunteering in this project you will develop develop your skills in community engagement, leadership, and cross-cultural communication.
What to expect: Manual labour in the mornings with building work on the campsite, supporting children from the local community. In the afternoon you will deliver educational workshops, sports and faith-based bible stories.
