Welcome to your Strategic Human Resource Management course

Welcome to the MA Strategic Human Resource Management, we cannot wait to meet you.

We have designed this course to be an enjoyable, knowledge building and challenging experience that will build on any pre-existing experience or understanding that you have.

We are confident that you will enjoy this course and through it, develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that is needed in the current and ever changing HRM profession.

Course delivery

There is an emphasis on practice-based learning and learning by doing approaches to supplement the more traditional approaches of lectures, guest speakers, tutorials, workshops, seminars and a virtual learning environment (VLE) will complement and enhance traditional face-to-face learning.

Knowledge and skills will be developed through case-studies, role-plays, simulations, presentations, projects, reflective portfolios and use of technology supported activities.

Face to face sessions will usually be 3 hours long and will be a mix of lectures and seminars. All sessions will be based around student participation. This could be through discussions, activities, roleplays or other ways to develop your understanding and enable you to connect what you are learning to your own experiences or to the challenges you may experience in your future career.
