Paramedic Skills Labs

The Paramedic Science Skills Labs are large spaces containing the resources required to learn and practice all of the clinical skills associated with Paramedic practice.

Three dedicated and fully equipped skills labs provide all practical-led taught skills sessions for the instruction of Paramedic clinical skills. Through a blend of Simulation Based delivery, alongside conventional task trainer resources, the labs are resourced to replicate the Paramedic environment. Labs fully compliment the professional course they support.

Skills Labs are primarily used for the teaching of Paramedic Science clinical skills, however they are also utilised by other healthcare professionals.

You will find the labs are equipped with the latest simulation resources and state-of-the-art equipment, with the vast majority of resources used mirroring those used by frontline Paramedic crews across the country.

Pre-hospital skills such as Intravenous Therapy, Intraosseous Infusion, Needle Cricothyroidotomy, Airway Management, effective communication and a myriad of other skills associated with the role of the Paramedic are all delivered within the Paramedic Skills Labs.
