Developing Awareness of the Care Needs of Children and Young People

Overview

Do you want to improve your awareness of the care needs of children and young people? Study a specialist module to develop your knowledge of the latest management, assessment, and principles of care needs in the younger generations.

With our experts, you will address the with physical and psychosocial development of infants, children and young people, and interact with the principles of communication and young perspectives of health regarding health and illness. You’ll also develop skills in recognition and repaid assessment of medical conditions within young people, along with pain management, pharmacology and drug calculation.

This module looks at more than medical needs, it also explores the legal and ethical aspects surrounding caring for younger generations, including safe guarding, rights, consent and parental responsibilities.

Contact Hours: (2) - 2 hours tutorial support via e-mail/ discussion forums.

Independent Study Hours: (298), 120 hours on-line and off line research time and supplementary reading, 62 hours guided study engaging with material, provided on Blackboard, 80 hours assignment preparation, 36 hours engagement with discussion forum
