Transitioning from a full-time PhD student to a professional role in a competitive market - especially as an international student - was daunting. However, with the unwavering support and guidance from UniTemps (and Lizzy in particular) was there every step of the way.

During my PhD, I took on several part-time roles to support myself and gain practical experience alongside my research. One of those roles introduced me to Midlands Power Networks; initially a short-term opportunity that gradually evolved into a full-time Knowledge Transfer Partnership.

Looking back, that initial part-time role was more significant than it seemed at the time. It set the direction for everything that followed, and I’m grateful to those who helped open that first door.
