International fees

Follow our advice on the payment of fees to secure a place on your chosen course, then you’ll be ready to enjoy your Staffordshire University experience.

Annual tuition fees for entry in academic year 2018/19:
Undergraduate (bachelors)  £11,100
Postgraduate courses by research (MPhil/PhD)  £12,500
Postgraduate taught courses  £12,500
Master of Business Administration (MBA)  £14,250
Law LPC and LLM combined  £12,300
 Law LPC solely  £10,900

Welcome Week

Your fees include International Welcome Week activities and a free bedding pack with duvet and sheets if you are going into our student accommodation. On arrival you’ll also be set up with your email account and can make full use of our IT and library facilities.

Paying your deposit - 2018/19 and 2019/20 

If you’re an international fee-payer, you’ll need to pay a deposit to secure your place.  

  • Full-time, on-campus courses: £3,500 

  • Sponsored students: No deposit required – please send your sponsorship letter 

  • Blended learning LPC: £500 

  • Distance learning: No deposit required 

You can make your deposit payment via our secure online payment portal, or using the payment details further below.

Your deposit is a non-refundable commitment to study at Staffordshire University. If you require a Tier 4 visa, we won’t be able to start processing your CAS until your deposit has been received and cleared by our bank. Please note that this can take 3-5 working days after the date of payment.

Payment of tuition fees - 2018/19 and 2019/20

On arrival at the University, you’ll need to pay 50% of your annual tuition fee (this includes any payments already received i.e. £3,500 deposit) before you can enrol on your course. Please be aware that it can take a couple of weeks to open a UK bank account because of security checks, so you should make sure that you have access to the appropriate funds on arrival at the University.

Final payment: 

The final payment deadlines are:   

  • January 2019 entrants: 30 April 2019 

  • September 2019 entrants: 30 November 2019 

Please note: If you’ve been awarded a scholarship or any discounts, these will be deducted from the total tuition fees.  

Scholarships and discounts 

For information about scholarships to study in the UK, please visit your local British Council office.

An early payment discount of £500 is applicable to students who pay their full fees before or at enrolment.

Staffordshre University alumni who graduated in the past two years receive a 25% reduction in their tuition fees. Alumni who graduated over two years ago receive a 15% reduction in their tuition fees.

There is also a £1,000 discount for progression students from our partner universities who choose to study in the UK.

You can make payments through our secure online payment portal.

You’ll be asked for your reference number to verify your identity. After enrolment, when paying the balance of your fees, you can use your student number or an invoice number to prove your identity.   

Acceptance for studies 

IMPORTANT: If you send a payment directly to the University, please include your full name and your reference number with the payment. Unidentified payments cannot be credited to your account.

Please note that your CAS will not be issued until your initial deposit of £3,500 has been processed. It can take approximately three days to process your payment once received by the Finance department.
