Alison Tonge is an experienced executive leader with a distinguished career across health, public service, and innovation. Alison brings deep expertise in strategic planning, governance, financial oversight, and transformation.
Her previous roles include Executive Director Strategy Innovation Planning, Regional Director of Commissioning at NHS England and Executive Vice President of Strategy and Performance at Alberta Health Services, where she led large-scale system reform and health innovation.
Alison has a strong national and international reputation for driving innovation in complex systems. She has pioneered digital health initiatives, social value frameworks, and novel approaches to digital reform, population health management—including founding the NHS’s first nationally funded Population Health Management Academy and Decision Support Centre.
Her work has been recognised through national awards and cited as best practice by the Health Council of Canada. Her recent work includes a focus on partnerships with industry and public sector.
A Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Alison holds an MBA in Health Economics and Management from Keele University. She is passionate about creating value through collaborative innovation, evidence-based decision-making, and building future-ready organisations.
