Emma Bogle

Lecturer

School of Health, Science and Wellbeing

Since qualifying as a Paramedic, I have built a career spanning frontline clinical practice, healthcare leadership, service transformation, coaching, and education. Following a number of operational and regional leadership roles within West Midlands Ambulance Service and NHS England, I joined the University of Staffordshire as a Lecturer in Paramedic Science.

My professional experience includes leadership of urgent and emergency care transformation programmes, pathway redesign, workforce development, coaching and mentoring, and collaborative working across healthcare systems. Alongside maintaining HCPC registration as a Paramedic, I hold a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science, an MSc in Healthcare Leadership and a Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

As an educator, I am passionate about helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice while developing the confidence, resilience, and professional behaviours required for autonomous practice. My teaching approach is centred on creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages reflection, critical thinking, and personal growth.

My interests include healthcare leadership, professional development, coaching and mentoring, service improvement, and the delivery of effective, efficient, and patient-centred care. Through academic mentoring and teaching, I aim to support students to achieve their potential and develop into confident healthcare professionals.
