I am a Senior Lecturer in Computing, having started at Staffordshire University over 3 decades ago. During this time I have seen a lot of changes, both in technology and techniques but I am extremely fortunate to still love my job.
I have taught thousands of students to program, and most of these have gone on to extremely successful careers in the Computing industry.
Even after all these years, I still get a buzz when a student who has had problems has that light-bulb moment, due to the way I have explained something.
Student success is central to my work, and I believe that is the most important thing that I can offer at Staffordshire University.
