Kate Dale

Senior Lecturer

School of Life Sciences and Education

After 7 extremely busy years teaching at a local secondary school I joined the PGCE team on a part time basis to develop and run the Mathematics PGCE whilst still teaching for three days. This opportunity allowed me to see education from a different perspective which had a massive impact on my own teaching style. After two years working part time for the University I was appointed Senior Lecturer in Education.

As a successful classroom teacher for 9 years I have a variety of experiences. I have taught at KS3 and KS4 and also been involved teaching at local feeder primary schools as well as implementing a successful G&T scheme which saw the most able Mathematicians taking AS Level a year early.

I completed my Masters in Education at Staffordshire University in 2014.

I currently work on the National Troops to Teacher programme as well as supporting the local Maths hub, leading professional development for teachers in Staffordshire.
