Dr Masum Billah

Masum completed his B.Sc in engineering in Bangladesh and then worked for seven years in the IT and engineering sectors. He obtained his M.Sc from the University of Greenwich UK, followed by two years of industrial experience in the UK, and later earned his PhD in electrical and electronic engineering from Staffordshire University. Since 2019, he has been teaching full-time at two different universities, and in 2022, he joined Staffordshire University as a senior lecturer.

With expertise in data analytics, telecommunications, wireless body area networks, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, Masum conducts research, and lectures, and supervises both MSc and BEng students at Staffordshire University. He serves as the course leader for the B.Sc Embedded Electronic Apprenticeship programme and teaches engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, using both face-to-face and distance learning formats. Additionally, Masum is an enthusiastic STEM Ambassador, dedicated to promoting engineering at schools, colleges, and various university events and competitions.
