Outline

A practical hands-on film workshop, introducing digital short filmmaking. Work as part of a crew to plan, produce and shoot your own promotional film. Through demonstrations and exercises master how to operate a camera, framing, explore the use of sound on set, lighting techniques, think about scriptwriting, narrative and characterisation to have an impact on an audience. Make use of Canon C100 cameras with tripod, production kit bag, boom pole & other digital equipment to:

  • Brainstorm and shape creative ways of telling a story
  • Understand film meaning making processes
  • Produce collaborative work and work collectively
  • Create material crafted for a multimedia audience
  • Explore techniques for Pre to Post Production
