Student Cards

All students need to have completed enrolment before they are issued with their student card.

If you are a student studying on campus (full-time and blended learning), you will be able to collect your Student ID Card when you arrive at the following locations

  • Stoke based courses – Hub, Science Centre, Leek Road
  • Stafford based courses – Library -Centre of Health Innovation, Blackheath Lane
  • London based courses – Help Desk, Staffordshire University London

Other printed Student ID Cards will be posted to your University contact address (this is the address you’ll be living at during your studies).

If you are a student moving into University accommodation you will be provided with early collection details via the Resident Life Team.

Returning students

If your card has been lost, stolen, or damaged, ask Beacon or visit Student Connect for details of how to get a replacement card

Distance learning and UK Partners

As part of its environmental sustainability strategy, Staffordshire University has signed up to the One Planet Pledge and has committed to achieving a Carbon Net Zero position by 2030. As part of this Pledge the University has changed its approach to providing physical student cards.

As a Distance Learning or UK Partner students*, we will not automatically print a physical card, as its primary purpose is access to campus buildings and facilities and as identification on Staffordshire University Campuses. You will have access to a digital Student ID on Beacon.

However, should you intend to come to our campuses you may request a physical card.

Distance Learners you may request a physical card using our Distance Learning Student Card Request form.

UK Partners you may request a physical card via your UK Partner Institute lecturer.

By reducing our physical card printing we are reducing our environmental impact.

*Stoke on Trent College, Stoke Sixth Form, Newcastle under Lyme and Stafford College students will have a card printed automatically, due to their locality and requirements on campus, which will either be provided via their College or collections details will be provided directly to their University email.
