Mechanical Engineering Lab

The Mechanical Engineering lab contains a variety of equipment used to aid students in understanding the theory taught in their lectures in addition to research purposes.

The Mechanical Engineering lab is found in the SmartZone, where a long list of apparatus and equipment can be found which are available for students to use under the guidance of a technical specialist. The equipment can be used to support the theory taught in lectures, in individual projects such as a dissertation and for further research projects. The equipment varies from material testing equipment that enables both tensile and compression testing, hardness tester and microscopes etc., to educational equipment that easily demonstrates engineering theories.

The lab is here to be utilized to its full potential and therefore students are encouraged to get in touch with the technical specialist to discuss project ideas so that technical support can be given.
