Amber Jones

Lecturer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I am one of the Midwifery Lectures here at the University of Staffordshire. I teach across Level 4, 5 & 6 modules on the midwifery programme, including skills and obstetric emergency training.

My midwifery background: I trained and worked as a midwife in a busy Birmingham NHS Trust, rotating between all inpatient areas, including Delivery suite & obstetric theatres, the Midwifery led unit, Antenatal and Postnatal ward.

I moved into the role of a Midwifery Clinical Educator, delivering both pre and post registration training. This has given me rich experiences I am able to bring into my teaching and has led to a passion in equipping our future midwives with the skills and knowledge to delivery high quality, safe, patient centred care and improve health inequalities.
