Bamidele Atiba

Senior Lecturer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I bring over a decade of experience as a clinician, epidemiologist, and educator. I’ve worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Aston Medical School and now serve as a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care at University of Staffordshire.

I have passion about Health and Social Care and its vital role in improving lives. It spans everything from safeguarding and mental health to public health and global health challenges. It’s about supporting individuals, families, and communities while shaping policy and practice. My main interest is in maternal and child health, leadership and management in health, health inequalities, and public health education. I also focus on infectious disease control and how social determinants impact health outcomes.

Outside of work, I contribute to health advocacy through Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent as an Independent Strategic Advisory Board member and volunteer. These experiences give me a unique perspective on the realities of health and social care.

I look forward to welcoming you to the University of Staffordshire and sharing knowledge, expertise, and experiences to make a positive impact on health and wellbeing.
