Caroline Merritt

The majority of my administration career has been in the higher education sector and over the years I have developed a deep and wide-ranging understanding of how universities operate at both strategic, and operational level. In a previous role at another university, I provided business management support and financial planning to Social Sciences, and Health courses, and I was part of the school senior executive group which led on growth ambitions. This involved working collaboratively with senior academic leaders to develop new courses of study, including those with international partners. I also co-ordinated the implementation of learning and teaching improvements at school level, and managed the school operational administrative functions to deliver an efficient and high-level customer facing service. Within that role, and as continues in my current role, I facilitate research projects working alongside academic scholars to ensure successful delivery of intended outcomes. In my current role I also co-ordinate administrative arrangements for the activities of the Educational Enhancement and Impact team to cultivate an inclusive learning environment.
