Jacqueline Jouannet

Lecturer

School of Health, Science and Wellbeing

I have been working as a psychotherapeutic counsellor for 15 years. Most of this work has been with young people aged 11-18 in educational settings. This has enabled me to develop expertise in working alongside educational professionals, in an advisory and supervisory capacity. I have a particular interest in supervising psychotherapists and counsellors who work with children, young people and adults in schools and colleges.

I enjoy working creatively and include the use of sandtray, clay and art in my work with all age groups.

Integratively trained, I would describe my approach as humanistic, existential and relationally focused.

Developing research interests include the experiences of women experiencing menopause and ‘empty nest syndrome’.
