I lead on work relating to course design, including the design sprint process activities and the creation of relevant support and guidance. I have a keen interest in inclusive education and developing spaces for open and honest conversations focused on enhancement. My involvement also extends to the implementation of the Curriculum Framework, with a particular focus on assessment and feedback strategies. As part of my departmental responsibilities, I am the Educational Developer supporting Creative Industries, Sports and Science and the Institute of Policing.
Additionally, I co-deliver the StaffsEd: 30 Minutes of Pedagogy programme with my colleagues, which aims to inspire those who teach and support teaching through short lunch time sessions.
Prior to joining Staffordshire University, I was Vice President Education at the University of Derby for 2 consecutive terms. During my tenure, I had particular focus on student engagement within the deliberative structure and was involved with the development of the Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy.
I am a Reviewer for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), engaging with reviews both in the UK and internationally. I have been a Student Panel Member for the 2023 round of TEF, and both roles have provided me with experience of different approaches to Higher Education.
I am currently studying an MA in Higher and Professional Education at the University of Surrey.
