Saara Byrne

Work Based Education Officer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I began my career within the education sector as a Senior Nursery Nurse, in a Private Day Nursery, also supporting families within local Children Centres. I then progressed to a Private Training Provider where I trained to be an Assessor and IQA.

I enjoyed many years Training/ Assessing students at the training centre or within their workplace. I continued as an Assessor/IQA, also leading on the Work Experience for some local colleges, this entailed conducting reviews, supporting students within the workplace, assessing students against relevant standards, monitoring progress, target setting and building partnerships with a variety of Employers.

I started working in education 20 years ago and this has been my passion ever since, leading to the role as a Work Based Education Officer within the institute of Policing and now within the Institute for Business and Innovation.
