SCoLPP researchers

SCoLPP researchers bring with them passion and a sustained record in researching, evidencing and enhancing student outcomes across the student lifecycle.

Alongside a core research team, SCoLPP benefits from an associate model where expertise within the institution is coalesced based on need. This integrated approach enables not only flexibility and responsiveness but also represents our inclusive ethos to pedagogic evaluation. 

Stella Jones-Devitt

Professor Of Critical Pedagogy

Stella is director of the SCoLPP pedagogic research centre. Prior to this, she was Director of Learning and Teaching at Staffordshire. Stella has significant experience and expertise in leading, designing and implementing evaluation research.

Sally’s passion is in developing an evidence-base of what works (and doesn’t work) in Higher Education. Her main interest is developing university systems and pedagogies to support students from diverse, non-traditional, and minoritised backgrounds.

I am a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with significant experience in curriculum design and innovative pedagogies. I am passionate about sharing knowledge in learning and teaching and contributing to the National Teaching Repository.

Leading a team of learning technologists for 10 years, Sue has considerable experience running pedagogic workshops, in addition to formal accredited courses, short courses.

Kierra is an Education Research and Evaluation Manager and Associate Fellow of the HEA. She is the research lead for Staffordshire University’s Access and Participation Plan’s intervention and evaluation plan.

The Teaching Innovation and Learning Enhancement (TILE) Hub sits directly under SCoLPP providing learning enhancement activities in pedagogy, digital innovation, training, and development.  We work across the university with staff and students.
