Outline

We will work with you to deliver this activity in a COVID compliant way

Students will have the opportunity to experience a range of ‘hands-on’ practical activities. They will learn how professionals in these areas make a difference to patients’ lives on a daily basis.  Throughout the day we will showcase to students a variety of careers available in health care and provide students with the opportunity to understand healthcare careers from our academics and our students.

10:00 - 10:15 Welcome and overview of Activity

10:15 - 12:00 Workshop one

Small group rotations through a series of professional-area based hands-on workshops ranging from: Basic Life Support CPR, Infection Control, Injection Administration and Monitoring SATS.

12:00 - 12.30 Lunch (Students and staff to bring own lunch)

12:30 - 14:15 Workshop Two

Small group rotations through a series of professional-area based hands-on workshops ranging from: Basic Life Support CPR, Infection Control, Injection Administration and Monitoring SATS.

14:15 - 14:30 Feedback and Departure

To include making an application to a professional health care course at Staffordshire University.
