Entrepreneurship in the Creative Industries

Masterclass

Outline

  • What does it mean to be a creative artist?
  • What does being entrepreneurial mean?
  • How can we bring our creative ideas to life?

During this workshop, students will have a live brief, followed by exploring how to work as a team in relation to creative ideas generation, as well as having to do a simple budget and examine values and vision statements.

This will culminate in a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style pitch, but always with positive and encouraging feedback!

Join the dynamic academic team from our Media, Performance and Communication department to take you through this workshop either on campus or at your establishment.

We can tailor this to performance, film, media, journalism, creative writing, music and sound areas. We can also explore working across subjects to promote a multi-disciplinary approach to your students.
