Residence Life strives to make your time at University managed accommodation the best it can be. We promise to provide a safe, affordable and comfortable place to live.

The ResLife team

Going out in the world by yourself doesn’t mean you have to be alone. We have a dedicated team to make sure you settle in and help you get started with university life.

ResLife Assistants (RLAs)

You’ll be well looked after by our Residence Life Assistants who are close at hand if you need them. The offices are within the accommodation located on the ground floor of the Coalport building. They are a team of full time, part time and student assistants whose aim and focus is ensuring your time within University residence is safe, friendly and comfortable enviroment to grow. Our student assistants will be current coed who will have been at the University and have experienced the Universoty of Staffordshire life, they know exactly what it's like to start a new adventure! They're the people to go to if you need help finding the best supermarket in the area, ideas for a good night out or even where to do your laundry. If you just want a cuppa and a chat, our RLAs can help you out.

Maintenance 

If you’ve any maintenance issues (e.g. a light has stopped working) you don't have to go out and replace the bulb yourself. Just inform our Residence Life team and they’ll fix the issue as soon as possible. We aim to make safe any critical maintenance issues within four hours and rectify the issue within five working days. Routine maintenance may take slightly longer, depending on demand at the time

What we do

Residence Life is more than a place to stay, it’s about giving you new opportunities and life skills. We organise lots of exciting activities where you’ll meet people and learn something new.

When you move into one of our residences, you're not just moving home, you're becoming a part of a new community. We encourage a community atmosphere within residences as well as throughout the campus and the local area. Our team works closely with the local community and often get involved with charity fund raising activities.
