Welcome to your Health and Social Care course

This contemporary course has been designed to produce the professionals of the future, who can positively address the current health and social care challenges. Meeting the health and social care needs of the population is one of the greatest challenges facing any society. It extends to almost every facet of social life, from the person who is unwell and seeking support for themselves, to political decisions about how to structure national systems of healthcare delivery.

With a strong emphasis on employability, you will undertake work experience in both your first and second year, ideally in a health and social care setting. You will participate in simulated activities throughout your course and a number of specialist care skills option modules in your final year to strengthen your employability with a clear focus on the health and social care path you have a special interest in.
