Short term bookings are available in the nursery. We can offer full day or hourly places to children under the age of eight. Such bookings are dependent on the availability of space in the nursery. To make a short term booking, please call the Nursery on 01782 294981.
You may be eligible for government help with childcare costs. All children over three are entitled to a free education place a term after their third birthday. Government funding for children between two to three years can be applied for if your child meets the criteria. Funding is available (15 hours over 38 weeks) or (11 hours over 50 weeks). 30 hours funding for 3 and 4-year-old free childcare is available subject to criteria (30 hours over 38 weeks) or (22 hours over 50 weeks). All meals will have to be charged. You may also be eligible for government help through tax-free childcare, tax credits, universal childcare or care to learn. The nursery accepts vouchers from any employer’s childcare scheme. Talk to your employer about how your nursery fees can be deducted from your salary before tax, saving you money on childcare. Those staff who work at the University can claim tax free childcare. For more information, visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
