3D Factory - Machine Shop

The Machine Shop makes industry-standard machinery and tools available to all students for precision making in metals and plastics.

Learn how to mill and turn parts in a range of metals and engineering plastics on our high spec CNC machines.  Machining is also offered as a bureau service for more complex designs.  Cut intricate designs in sheet metal with our fibre laser cutter, and trim and bend to shape with our sheet metal tools.  Mark, punch, drill, file and finish with a wide selection of engineering hand and power tools.  We have materials for sale cut-to-size, and offer inductions, training and support to help you make the best use of all our tools and machines.
