As part of the Staffordshire Higher Skills & Engagement Pathways, we are offering Staffordshire based SMEs the opportunity to access our pool of high calibre talent to support innovation, growth and success for your business through a 12-month student placement.

How can a Placement help your business to succeed?

Whether you are looking to reduce costs, improve efficiency or raise your organisation's profile, our student placements can inject fresh ideas, knowledge, and talent into your business.

Through a placement you can address specific problems or undertake a project that you might otherwise lack the time, equipment, or expertise to tackle. Our students offer enthusiasm, inspiration, and innovation - with fresh ideas that they have grown and developed through their individual courses.

Nationally it is estimated that 75% of students go on to work with their placement employer. It’s also a great way to get to know a student before offering them a graduate role, removing the need for a costly recruitment campaign.

If you are taking part in one of our regional projects, you will also gain access to industry experts and specialist equipment here at the University.

By having a placement student on your team, not only will your business benefit but you will also be providing valuable support whilst assisting with their employment prospects and career development, having a huge impact on their future.

Who can apply?

These programmes are open to all Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership SMEs.
