Fine Art highlights - Semester 1

Summary of Semester 1 highlights

Fine Art student sketching in Keele chapel

As part of our Professional practice and placement module students have been engaging with local arts organisations to write proposals for their placements which we are looking forward to seeing come to fruition in Semester 2- this included a brilliant trip to the Arts Keele classical concert for our live drawing activity.

Looking ahead to Semester 2

Looking ahead to semester 2, we are excited to be entering ‘Exhibition Season’ ; we start off with our art trail in the Spode Rose Garden, giving our level 5 students the opportunity to curate an exhibition in a historic garden, followed by a collaborative exhibition with students from University of Sunderland and University North, Croatia and continues with a series of commissions and workshops with the arts organisation, Culture&. The year culminates in our interim exhibition which includes all level 4 & 5 students, after Easter.

The climax of the year is our Degree Show, where our level 6 students astound us with their end of year installations.
