I am the course leader for the Derbyshire Police apprenticeship provision and the MSc in Disaster Management. My professional background includes specialist policing roles within the Metropolitan Police and Greater Manchester Police, encompassing detective service, specialist operations, response and roads policing, leadership, and investigation.
I have operated across various disciplines during my policing career ranging from covert policing to policing the roads in safety, enforcement and crime disruption roles. I am an accredited counter fraud specialist with an interest in commercial crime and emerging crime trends.
I have provided media commentary to television, digital and radio broadcasters on a range of contemporary and roads policing issues, both live and recorded.
I’m proud to be a member of the team of experts here at the Institute of Policing and I look forward to working with you on your chosen path of study.
