I am an Educational Developer with expertise in assessment as learning, gamifying education and designing pedagogical trainings for academics. My background in Educational Science has provided me with a breadth of knowledge on curriculum design, as well as skills in educational research.
Since starting in my role at University of Staffordshire in July 2024, I have developed asynchronous training for academic mentors and worked with colleagues from HR&OD to set up an induction programme for new (academic) staff. My current projects involve the implementation of the Curriculum Framework, design sprints, CPD for lecturers and teaching on the Education Top-Up.
I am particularly interested in innovative ways to improve assessment practices, as well as increasing student engagement through the use of effective and inclusive teaching & learning strategies. Collaborating with academics to set up educational enhancement projects and researching the impact of different pedagogical approaches is what gives me energy. If you'd like to work together, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Before joining University of Staffordshire, I worked at universities in the Netherlands, where I supported large-scale curriculum redesign, collaborated with module leads to make improvements based on course monitoring, wrote assessment policy and ran trainings on innovative pedagogies.
