I am the course leader in Illustration, with a background in visual storytelling and publishing.

My work covers a wide variety of mediums including traditional approaches through to digital media and animation. I have written and illustrated a number of commercially successful children’s publications for national and international clients, from historical non-fiction through to fiction titles, where my best-selling picture book character series Bright Stanley was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Award in 2006.

In a 20 year career I have worked for a wide variety of clients from the BBC, The Royal Collection, Birmingham Museum Trust, Little Tiger Press, Caterpillar Books, Lion Children’s Books, Orchard Books, Wayland Books, Hachette Children’s Books, Macmillian Books, Oxford University Press, Collins (Big Cat Books), Rigby, Harcourt, Scholastic and MENCAP.

I am an experienced creative problem solver, with a passion for narrative image making.
