Steve Hollyman

Senior Lecturer

Digital, Tech, Innovation & Business

I’m a former student of Staffordshire University, having completed a joint honours degree in English Literature and Philosophy in 2006. In 2009, I graduated from the Manchester Writing School with an MA in Creative Writing, and I was awarded a PhD from the same institution in 2013.

I have worked in corporate communications for Merlin Entertainments, the world's second-largest leisure operator, and as a technical writer for the Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2015, I was appointed as Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.

I am represented by MMB Creative Literary Agency and my most recent novel, LAIRIES, was published in April 2021 by Influx Press with an audiobook commissioned by Audible released on the same date. It appeared as Book of the Day in The Guardian, and received favourable reviews in The Observer, Northern Soul and The Skinny. My next book is scheduled for publication in autumn 2022.
