Preparing for a university interview

If you've been invited to an interview - congratulations! You've already shown in your application that you're a promising applicant with the potential to meet our entry requirements.

An interview is a chance for us to get to know you better, and learn more about:

  • your abilities, experience and knowledge.
  • your interest in the course.

At University of Staffordshire most of our admissions interviews will take place on Shorlister.  Shortlister is an asynchronous interviewing platform which means you will be asked to complete a video interview for your chosen course.  The days of taking time off school or college, work or arranging care for dependents is over!

There are a handful of courses where you will still need to attend an interview with a specific time slot either on campus or via Microsoft Teams. Please check your interview invite letter to find out how you will be interviewed.

You may have been asked to prepare something for your interview, to find out what you need to do select your course from the list below where you will see exactly what you need to prepare.  It is important you understand what you need to do before you complete your interview.
