Our subject immersion sessions give you insight into what'll be like to study here. With hands-on activities, you'll do course tasters, challenges or simulated scenarios. Find your home from home with a tour of our new Student Village

Set within our nature reserve, the Student Village has over 1,000 rooms to suit your lifestyle and budget. From a sociable apartment or homely townhouse to a private studio - all rooms come with your own bathroom. We also offer guaranteed accommodation to eligible first year students.

With 24/7 security and controlled access to all accommodation blocks and a dedicated ResLife team you'll feel safe and supported. What's more, your rent covers utilities, superfast WiFi, membership to our campus gym, and contents insurance.

You'll also discover the Student Hub - a brand-new community space for all students whether you're living on campus or commuting. See where you'll relax with friends, study, and get involved in events and activities.

Quiet programme

For visitors looking for a quieter Open Day experience, we run a separate quiet programme on the same day. This allows visitors to explore campus and attend talks/tours in a smaller group, giving you extra support and time to reflect. Ask one of our friendly advisors during registration for more information, or you can chat to us before you arrive to arrange any additional requirements you may need.

How to get to University of Staffordshire's Stoke-on-Trent campus

The Stoke-on-Trent campus Open Day registration point is in the Catalyst building on our Leek Road site.

Train

If you're travelling by train, you'll need to get off at Stoke-on-Trent railway station and head out of the main doors on platform 1. Cross the road using the pedestrian crossing then turn right, heading past the station car park. The Open Day registration point is a short walk from here. If you need further directions, you can find our student ambassadors at the railway station and on campus. They're easy to spot in their red uniform.

Bus

Both our College Road and Leek Road sites have excellent bus links within the city centre and wider area. Open Day signage will direct you around the campus and lead you to the registration point.

First bus runs a regular service and provides journey planning.

Car

The Stoke-on-Trent campus is within easy reach of the M6 motorway, A50 and A34 if you’re travelling by car. To get to the car park on Leek Road, use the postcode ST4 2DF. This postcode will take you to our main entrance, where our ambassadors will direct you to the nearest car park.

You'll need to register at the Catalyst building which is a short walk from the Leek Road car park. Parking is free at Leek Road on Open Days.Note that the College Road car park is not free.

Electric Vehicle Charging is available at our Stoke-on-Trent campus on Leek Road and College Road car parks.

Can my parents and supporters come to Open Days?

Parents and supporters are welcome to join our Open Days. We offer a dedicated session just for them, where they can ask questions and receive answers from a panel of parents, current students, and university professionals.

What should I wear to an Open Day?

Choose comfy, casual clothes and shoes as you’ll be walking between talks, campus tours, and accommodation visits. Check the weather forecast a few days before and dress for the conditions as you'll probably be going outside to check out accommodation, facilities and the local area. Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. What you wear won’t affect your university application, so no pressure!

Do I need to book onto an Open Day to attend?

Yes, booking is essential. When you book, we’ll send you an online programme before the event so you can plan your day and secure your place in popular sessions like subject immersions and student life talks.

How do I make the most of an Open Day?

Top tips for making the most of your Open Day

Plan your sessions in advance. Use the online programme we’ll email before the event to decide which talks and activities you want to attend. Prioritise the sessions that matter most to you.
Tell us about any special requirements or disabilities. If you have any special requirements or disabilities, contact us ahead of time so we can make sure everything is ready for you.
Prepare your questions. Make a checklist of questions for lecturers, current students, and support staff to get the answers you need.
Think about who to bring. Bringing a parent or supporter can be really helpful. We run dedicated sessions for them, offering tips on how they can support you through your university journey.
Explore the campus. Take a guided tour led by our student ambassadors and experience campus life through their lived experience. Don’t miss the chance to try our VR-powered tour of the new Student Village - opening Autumn 2026 - where you can explore different room options before choosing your future home.
