Roland Orlando Butcher is a UEFA Licensed Coach, International Cricketer, Mentor, Ambassador and Commentator

On the 22 August 1980, he became the first black player to play international cricket for England. Although his international career was brief, he played for Middlesex for 16 years and has gone on to work in 16 countries around the world.

A passionate football player, Butcher also and worked as an academy coach for Arsenal and Reading football clubs.

Butcher has learnt much about diversity, inclusivity and equity over the course of his career and talks about his experience in this event to celebrate Black History Month.
